Mr. Sam Adams
Revere's political connections before and after the Revolution where often a source of commissions. One of his best patrons was Isaiah Thomas, patriot printer and publisher of the Royal American Magazine. Revere's magazine illustrations, including likenesses of well-known Boston leaders Sam Adams and John Hancock, provided a steady source of income while enhancing his reputation as a patriot and engraver.
